I was much humbled and my heart so delighted by my small group last night. Their openness, attitude of love, their sharing, listening, the endless laughs and funny stories,... their questions, insight, thoughts, the desire to read scripture, analyzing the passage... warmed my heart, delighted my soul, and produced a wellspring of love for them.
I feel not knowledgeable enough to be their small group leader or facilitator or whatever you would call it, but I am honored, feel privileged, to be able to be a part of their group, getting to know them, their hearts, seeing their energy and conviction. I learn so much from them. And they show me so much grace as they listen to me stumble through my words and explanations.
We ended with Psalm 27 to conclude our study on Peace.
v. 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
v. 5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
v.14 Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!
