Okay, not really. But to me, he's a celebrity! =) At work today, I had the privilege of meeting a favorite illustrator of mine, the illustrator of all the Black Lagoon children's books. When I used to teach summer school my kids used to love his books. His drawings are fun and whimsical, paying attention to small details like a funny looking creature at the very bottom corner of the page, or a surprised looking monster in the background, basically little surprises that would make kids laugh as they read. I also never knew that he and the author Mike Thaler also did christian-related books for kids. They are funny!
