John 1:43-51 shows one of the earliest signs of unbelief as well as belief. There's something really awesome about how Jesus calls Peter, Phillip, and Nathanael to follow Him, how they go from unbelief to faith. =) I like how Nathanael, though doubtful, goes to check out Jesus anyway, bringing his doubts to Jesus. And from there, Jesus takes over, takes his doubts, and he ends up believing in Him. That's such a comfort to me. Though I've been a Christian for about 10 years now, I still encounter my moments of doubt. But it's comforting to know that we can learn from Nathanael, and bring our doubts to Jesus. He can help us to see, understand, and know as well as believe in our Lord.
He is after all, the author and perfector of our faith. =)
